Communion: The Female Search for Love by bell hooks is crafted for women, including mothers, daughters, friends, and partners. This book is meant for you whether you’re involved in romantic relationships, pursuing emotional growth, or or trying to understand how women got to where we are in the belly of patriarchal culture. We will center and unpack women's experiences of love and explore topics around defining various forms of love, overcoming cultural barriers to self-acceptance, and confronting traditional gender roles.
Each Book Club Sesh includes grounding breath-work, reflection on chapters (intellectual + somatic), integration envisioning, 1:1 connection time, creative expression rounds.
